'Da Lick' brings authentic Jamaican home-style cooking to wherever you are
I remember always pulling up outside my grandmother's house and the smell of my grandmother's food would be all out on the street. And when you walked into the house there was a sense of comfort and relaxation just from the smell of the food alone - it felt like home. Walking into any house I go into now, the smell of food takes me right back there. I wouldn't call myself an expert on cooking, however the way I cook is - I walk into an environment making sure I have the correct tools and instruments whatever that may be - meat, fish, hard food, rice - and I just fling it together. Do I have a passion for food - yeah. Do I find it easy - yes. Do I like cooking - yes. Can I cook any dish? I would definitely give it a go. All of the food on any plate has to work together, you have to be thankful for the spring onion going in there, and the spring onion has to communicate with the garlic and the ginger… everybody has to sing together to the same tune.
